Position Summary: BAE Systems is looking for motivated Shipfitters to join our Maritime Solutions team in San Diego, California, for the 3rd shift. Key Responsibilities:
Engage in all structural phases of a ship’s hull construction, including fitting, fabricating, assembly, and alignment.
Conduct layout access cuts and inserts, inspect tanks, and assist with testing.
Tack weld as needed and perform installations and rip-outs.
Read and interpret blueprints for layout and other shipfitting tasks.
