Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is seeking an experienced Pipefitter A to join the team in Pascagoula, MS. This role involves the layout, installation, and maintenance of various piping systems on vessels according to specifications and blueprints, using a variety of hand tools and shop machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow blueprints to lay out, install, and maintain piping systems on vessels.
Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks, then thread pipe and pipefittings for installation.
Connect pipes to fixtures, conducting leak tests to confirm system specifications are met.
Collaborate with a tacker/helper to achieve precision work and troubleshoot issues.
Decode details in objects or blueprints to execute tasks accurately.
Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of blueprints and piping system drawings.
Experience & Training:
Previous experience as a pipefitter is preferred.
