Pipefitter

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is seeking an experienced Pipefitter A to join the team in Pascagoula, MS. This role involves the layout, installation, and maintenance of various piping systems on vessels according to specifications and blueprints, using a variety of hand tools and shop machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow blueprints to lay out, install, and maintain piping systems on vessels.
• Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks, then thread pipe and pipefittings for installation.
• Connect pipes to fixtures, conducting leak tests to confirm system specifications are met.
• Collaborate with a tacker/helper to achieve precision work and troubleshoot issues.
• Decode details in objects or blueprints to execute tasks accurately.

Qualifications:

• Proficient knowledge of blueprints and piping system drawings.

Experience & Training:

• Previous experience as a pipefitter is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating cutting torches and tack welding is desired.
