Position Summary: Eastern Shipbuilding is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder 1/C capable of planning, laying out, and executing welds on various types of pipes and tubular products according to project specifications and industry standards. This full-time position requires proficiency in pipe welding techniques, knowledge of equipment and work processes, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:
Review blueprints and prepare for welding or cutting metal components.
Perform high-quality welds, following specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials.
Test and verify the operation of welded steel pipes and fittings.
Install, repair, and replace damaged piping using appropriate methods and equipment.
Conduct troubleshooting of piping systems and diagnose issues effectively.
Ensure all necessary welding inspection tasks are completed to specification.
