Position Summary: The Experienced Dredge Tugboat Captain at Curtin Maritime holds a leadership position focused on navigation and the safe operation of the vessel. Commanding a wide array of towing and marine transportation tasks, the captain utilizes expertise to maintain the Curtin Standard of performance. Providing mentorship, superior communication, and expert navigational skills are paramount within this role, which varies across three levels of Captain I, II, and III.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute inland and coastwise towing, voyage planning, and ensure proactive planning for operational efficiency.
Manage vessel compliance using the Vessel Management System (VMS) and maintain thorough recordkeeping.
