Position Summary: Tampa Bay Ship is looking for a qualified Marine Rigger to join our skilled workforce in Tampa, FL. This position focuses on executing complex rigging operations, ensuring the safe and precise handling of ship components and other heavy materials within the shipyard.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and execute lifts using cranes, hoists, and other rigging tools according to industry standards.
Interpret load charts and perform weight calculations for rigging operations.
Inspect and maintain rigging equipment, ropes, and slings for defects to ensure reliability.
Work closely with crane operators, shipfitters, and other trades to coordinate movement of materials.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate actively in all safety briefings and trainings.
