Position Summary: Eastern Shipbuilding is seeking a Material Handler to assist production by loading and unloading materials onto various types of production equipment such as blast and panel lines, CNC plasma machines, press brakes, and saws. This full-time position requires a person adept at operating mechanical equipment and following stringent safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and loaders daily.
Load and unload materials onto trucks and inspect material received as well as finished products.
Ensure the safe handling and transportation of materials within the production area.
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of production needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, with knowledge of operating overhead cranes and other mechanical equipment.
