REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience: Three to five years shipyard experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in the use of electronic and laser measuring equipment and dimensional control required. Requires knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Skills: Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and AutoCAD required. Requires proficiency in the structural aspects of shipbuilding and have working knowledge in all other disciplines. Ability to read and comprehend written, verbal, or diagram forms or plans. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction and shop drawings. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, supervisors and employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
