Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new electrical systems and upgrade existing configurations to enhance vessel performance and safety.
  • Methodically troubleshoot and repair faults within marine electrical systems, including power distribution, navigation, communication, and control equipment.
  • Carefully read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
  • Conduct comprehensive tests and inspections of electrical components to prevent potential malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Provide detailed documentation of all electrical maintenance activities, including creating reports and maintaining service logs.
  • Engage in continuous learning about new technologies and advancements in marine electrical applications to recommend upgrades and improvements.
  • Serve as an electrical expert on board, offering guidance and support during construction and repair projects, and ensuring strict adherence to maritime electrical codes.
