Job Description

Position Summary: Tampa Bay Ship is seeking an experienced Marine Electrician to undertake electrical installations, maintenance, and repair tasks on our wide array of marine vessels. This on-site role is critical for ensuring the flawless operation and safety of the ship's electric systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures on marine vessels.
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions in electrical systems and rectify issues.
  • Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure accurate work.
  • Test electrical systems with multimeters, megohmmeters, and other specialized tools.
  • Collaborate with other professionals on board to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Proven track record as a Marine Electrician or similar role, with strong technical knowledge of marine electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and safety protocols.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Good manual dexterity for working with small parts and attention to detail.
