Job Description

Position Summary: Tampa Bay Ship, located in Tampa, Florida, is in search of Structural Fabricators to join our dedicated shipbuilding team. This role involves crafting and assembling various metallic structures for maritime vessels, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards. The Structural Fabricator will work full-time onsite, utilizing their expertise in metalwork to contribute to the creation and maintenance of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble metal components to fabricate structural forms such as beams, plates, and frames.
  • Employ welding and other metalworking techniques to join structural components.
  • Inspect completed structures for conformity to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project supervisors and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience in metal fabrication or a related field within a shipbuilding or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in a variety of metalworking and welding techniques.
  • Ability to understand and execute project blueprints and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Knowledge of safety practices related to structural fabrication and metalwork.
