Job Description

Position Summary: Tampa Bay Ship, located in Tampa, Florida, is eagerly seeking experienced Marine Electricians to join our shipyard team dedicated to maintaining and installing electrical systems on maritime vessels. This role entails performing various electrical tasks essential to the operation and safety of our ships, from routine wiring and system checks to the execution of complex installations and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
  • Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance to uphold system integrity and standards.
  • Respond to and resolve electrical issues promptly, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
  • Collaborate with other trades to support overall ship construction, maintenance, and repair efforts.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electrical systems.
  • Several years of experience working as an electrician, especially in a maritime or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with maritime electrical standards and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
