Position Summary: Tampa Bay Ship is seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our experienced team in Tampa, Florida. As a full-time Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems onboard vessels, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with maritime standards and safety regulations. This hands-on role requires precision and a strong understanding of marine piping systems within a dynamic shipyard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing and water supply systems.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using various hand and power tools.
  • Install and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems using pressure gauge equipment.
  • Work closely with other trades and coordinate tasks to meet the project timelines.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Significant experience as a Pipefitter, preferably in a shipyard or marine setting.
  • Knowledge of piping and hydraulic systems commonly used in marine applications.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to pipefitting duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Must pass a fit-for-duty physical exam and be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
