Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
BAE Systems, recognized for empowering its employees and delivering life-saving products to the U.S. military, is currently offering an opportunity for Maintenance Technicians within the Waterfront Operations department in Jacksonville, Florida. This role caters to individuals eager to take on diverse maintenance duties, and is ideal for those with a minimum of one year of industrial maintenance experience. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various equipment, demonstrating the highest workmanship standards, and ensuring safety and efficiency in accordance with BAE Company Procedures and Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain Waterfront Operations equipment, such as SPMTs, diesel engines, hoists, gears, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Document all tasks accurately and maintain work integrity as per company procedures.
• Read and apply technical manuals and drawings.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power hand tools, and precision measurement tools.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends.
• Must be self-motivated and able to operate independently.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification Systems "DBIDS" access card.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Diesel, Automotive, and/or Marine Mechanical Experience.
• Knowledge of equipment overhauling and machinery alignments.
• Experience with alignment tools, rebuilding machinery, centrifugal pumps, and servo, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities in a manufacturing or shipyard environment.

Pay Information:
Full-Time Salary Range: $44,720 - $78,520
