Electrician Journeyperson (3rd Shift)

Position Summary:
BAE Systems is recruiting an Electrician Journeyperson for the Maritime Solutions team in San Diego, California. This full-time onsite role involves working on the 3rd shift, with responsibilities including leading a small crew of 2-6 employees, ensuring work quality meets required standards, and providing training and guidance to lesser-experienced staff. As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in delivering life-saving products to the U.S military, embracing the challenge of resolving complex problems and promoting a passion for the defense industry among your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead small teams to ensure satisfactory completion of electrical tasks.
• Teach helpers and improvers, read and interpret specs, drawings, Mil standards, and Standard Item requirements.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant standard items pertaining to electric shop operations.
• Demonstrate the ability to accomplish Tag Outs and interpret WAF requirements.
• Employ basic troubleshooting and QA practices, including performing pre-checks before system delivery to the government.
• Call out and conduct Checkpoints as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• High School Diploma + 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience at the journeyman level, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with QA requirements related to assigned tasks.
• Capability to pass medical fitness, including pulmonary function and vision screenings.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Completion of Electrical Trade School.
• Experience with multi-pin connectors, fiber optic connectors, switchgear, power panels, controllers, lighting, and power systems and distribution.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Full-time onsite position for the 3rd shift.
• Required to work in environments necessitating the use of protective equipment and to perform physical tasks in various conditions.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and to climb staircases and ladders.

Reporting:
The Electrician Journeyperson will report to the relevant supervisor or team leader.

Pay Information:
Full-Time Salary Range: $59,800 - $91,645
