Scaffold Supervisor

Position Summary: Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA, is looking for a Scaffold Supervisor to oversee a subcontracted labor force within the shipyard. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing scaffold material inventories, manning tracking, progress reporting, budget control, and ensuring that all safety procedures, rules, and regulations are strictly followed. The successful candidate should possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, at least 5 years of professional experience in shipyards or steel structure manufacturing, and hold a valid OSHA Scaffold Competent Person Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee subcontracted labor and coordinate schedules.
• Manage scaffold material inventory and fulfill scaffold requests on time.
• Maintain scaffold request system and prioritize jobs accordingly.
• Ensure the proper condition of team mobile equipment and arrange timely repairs.
• Evaluate the necessity of staging and explore alternative access methods.
• Uphold safe and clean working conditions across assigned locations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in shipyards, ship repair, or heavy steel structure manufacturing.
• Supervisory experience leading production teams.
• Valid OSHA Scaffold Competent Person Certificate.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certifications are preferred.
