Position Summary: Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing various minor and preventative maintenance tasks. The technician will ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, respond to emergencies, and perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on equipment and machinery. This full-time position requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience in maintaining outdoor cranes, manufacturing machinery, and CNC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow safety protocol.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on shipyard equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on cranes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Use electrical and mechanical test equipment.
- Participate in second shift rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience with outdoor cranes, DC and AC manufacturing machinery, and hydraulic systems.
- Skilled in CNC and robotic machinery troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading European electrical diagrams and arc flash training.
