Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Job Description

Position Summary: Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA, is looking to add a Control & Instrumentation Engineer to their team. The candidate should ensure compliance with all shipyard safety procedures and contribute to the design coordination, review, and approval of control and instrumentation systems. This role involves working with international design partners, vendors, stakeholders, and participating in technical meetings to resolve system issues. The perfect candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in Control & Instrumentation with knowledge of ship design and familiarity with international manufacturing and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate control and instrumentation system designs.
  • Ensure compliance with shipyard standards and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide design feedback, develop test procedures, and coordinate technology implementation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical specifications.
  • Offer support to production with timely technical clarifications and troubleshooting assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of specialized Control & Instrumentation experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant software tools.
