Position Summary: Alabama Shipyard, founded in 2019 in Mobile, AL, seeks a Planner. The role is central to providing and organizing information critical to Production crafts, including work specifications and engineering drawings. In collaboration with the Scheduling, Production, and Project Management teams, the Planner is integral in coordinating construction sequencing and implementing changes as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work specifications and engineering drawings.
- Assist Scheduling with construction work sequencing and change order implementation.
- Perform daily ship checks and other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Business Management, Marine Operations, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in planning within a maritime repair or shipyard environment.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and familiar with shipyard operations.

- Knowledge of ship repair planning, shop flow, and resource utilization is advantageous.
