Electrical Test Engineer

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is seeking a proficient Electrical Test Engineer A at the Pascagoula, MS location. The individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Engineering Test organization, administering and interpreting regulatory guidance alongside ship specifications for Electrical Distribution Systems and Electrical/Electronic Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers and government representatives to develop test agendas and procedures for electrical systems and equipment.
• Utilize technical expertise to provide recommendations and assist with both internal and external customer issues regarding testing of shipboard systems.
• Review drawings, interpret ship specifications, and verify vendor information.
• Witness and evaluate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at vendor facilities.
• Work closely with management teams to resolve test-related issues efficiently and maintain schedule compliance.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience in the operation and design of shipboard systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in regulatory rules and regulations.
• Strong computer literacy skills.

Experience & Training:

• Experience in electrical engineering, shipbuilding, production, and testing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with substantial electrical engineering work, ideally in the U.S. Navy or Coast Guard.
