Pipefitter

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is seeking a Pipefitter Lead A for the night shift at their location in Pascagoula, MS. This position is for a seasoned pipefitter who can lay out, install, and maintain the ship's piping systems. The role involves following blueprints, operating shop machines, and ensuring systems meet specifications and compliance with blueprints and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow blueprints and specifications to install and maintain piping systems on ships.
• Cut, bore holes, and thread pipe and pipefittings for installation.
• Conduct system tests for leaks and compliance with specifications.
• Instruct and supervise employees, monitor job activity, and provide guidance on tasks.
• Plan work procedures and determine equipment, material, and manpower needs.
• Communicate effectively and build productive workgroups as part of the supervisory team.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in pipefitting.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
• Capable of cutting, torch-operating, and tack welding.

Experience & Training:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a pipefitter preferred.
