Quality Control Technician

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is searching for a Quality Control Technician A to join their team in Pascagoula, MS. This position entails performing detailed in-process and final inspections to ensure manufacturing products comply with established quality standards, working under the supervision of a Quality Control Manager, Supervisor, or designated authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test parts, assemblies, welds, and manufactured products for compliance with quality standards.
• Document inspection results and findings, and make accept or reject decisions.
• Inspect purchased parts and specialty items from suppliers, and set up procedures for non-conforming materials.
• Liaise with engineering and production supervision to resolve product issues.
• Maintain records and files related to quality control inspections.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Expertise in manufacturing processes and interpretation of detail and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in the use of tools, gauges, and test equipment for inspection tasks.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with plant supervisors, managers, and customer quality assurance personnel.

Experience & Training:

• High school diploma supplemented by relevant coursework or training.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing processes.
• At least 5 years of shipbuilding experience.
