Electrical Engineer

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard Industries is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join the team in Pascagoula, MS. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for engineering design, planning, and the oversight of electrical and electronic components and systems installation in shipbuilding projects. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, regulatory agencies, and vendor coordination to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee electrical engineering tasks to meet project requirements.
• Supervise the work of drafters and designers in electrical design.
• Manage technical data and maintain accurate design documentation.
• Develop and verify accuracy in electrical one-line development, Electrical Plant Load Analysis (EPLA), ACS/MCS systems, wiring diagrams, and other documentation.
• Respond to queries and prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
• Ensure system compatibility with vendors and communicate with internal teams and regulatory personnel for Marine and Auxiliary Control Systems.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of marine electrical design and industry standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Proven experience with shipboard power systems, electrical one-line development, EPLA, and ACS/MCS systems.
• Excellent communication and effective collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering or shipbuilding.
