Electrician

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard is currently looking for a qualified Electrician Lead B in the Cable Department at their Pascagoula, Mississippi location. The role involves directing a team of electrical craft employees, ensuring adherence to company standards in terms of quality, safety, and scheduling. The Electrician Lead B will report to and work under the direction of higher management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assign daily tasks to a team of hourly electricians.
• Monitor and report key job activity data such as installations and manpower usage.
• Manage electrical equipment and system installation, ensuring readiness for testing and commissioning.
• Handle and secure testing equipment and tools appropriately.

Qualifications:

• Strong capability in planning, forecasting equipment and materials, and reporting job-related data.
• Proficient in reading and analyzing engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and vendor documentation.
• Knowledgeable about industry codes and standards related to electrical work.

Experience and Education:

• At least 8 years of experience in the marine shipbuilding and offshore electrical construction industries, particularly in hazardous environments.
• Formal electrical training such as an apprenticeship, vocational certification, or trade school diploma.
