Foreman/Supervisor - Paint Department

Position Summary: Bollinger Shipyard is seeking a dedicated Foreman/Supervisor for the Paint Department in Pascagoula, MS. The role involves directing activities of shop employees, ensuring quality, safety, and cost standards are met, and overseeing production to align with company goals. The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of plant operations, be adept at leading a productive team, and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage work procedures, equipment, supplies, and manpower requirements to meet production drawings and schedules.
• Supervise, assign, instruct, and schedule shop employees while monitoring work processes.
• Collaborate with other operational phases to meet deadlines and secure materials and equipment.
• Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, and security of company equipment.
• Consult with engineers and quality assurance inspectors to ensure product integrity.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of plant operations, particularly in painting techniques and equipment.
• Ability to plan work procedures, manage equipment and material needs, and lead a workgroup.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints or work objectives.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Experience and Training:

• High school education with additional coursework in drafting, industrial technology, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in plant operations and supervision.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
