Job Description
Position Summary:
Bollinger Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Welder B responsible for welding structural metal components in accordance with blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. This non-executive role requires proficiency in welding various positions and the ability to pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods to ensure high-quality welds. The role may also include tank testing and other related duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Weld butts and bulbs in all positions

Pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) testing methods

Perform tank testing and associated duties as required

Apply knowledge of metallic and non-metallic material characteristics and equipment specifications
Qualifications:

Ability to pass welding tests in overhead and vertical positions based on certification requirements

Prior experience as a welder or vocational training acceptable
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Work in shipyard environment with exposure to welding equipment and materials
