Project Manager

Position Summary: Bay Ship & Yacht Co., situated on the San Francisco Bay waterfront in Alameda, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee the profitability, quality, scheduling, and customer satisfaction of assigned projects. The role is integral in leading operations, change management, and innovative problem-solving, ensuring the smooth running of project operations. The Project Manager will work closely with a team of craftspeople and manage valuable customer relationships, making every project dynamic and distinct.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project planning, control, customer management, resource management, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, direct resources, and take responsibility for project outcomes.
• Engage in project management activities, balancing multiple priorities and client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in production and as a Project Manager, including crew management and client service.
• Strong planning, contract competency, and an innate sense of urgency.
• Aptitude for working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both for executive presentations and technical team discussions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in trades linked to industrial and ship repair industries.
• Relevant experience in maritime, construction, manufacturing, engineering, oil & gas, utilities, defense, transportation, or military sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering discipline, or related field.
• Military Veterans and multi-language skills are highly regarded.
