Position Summary: General Dynamics NASSCO, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled Sheetmetal - Repair individual to assemble, cut, grind, and weld metal structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, strong backs, and turnbuckles. The role requires proficiency in aligning parts, tack and welding foundation and structural members, as well as interpreting blueprints and fulfilling tasks as per the outlined specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in various welding techniques, demonstrates strong craftsmanship, and is comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and shifts as assigned.
