Position Summary: General Dynamics NASSCO is seeking a skilled Painter - Journeyman in San Diego, CA, to clean and prepare surfaces of wood or metal for painting on interior and exterior parts of ships and shipyard buildings. The ideal candidate must have experience in hand brush and spray painting application and be well-versed in surface preparation procedures, paint mixing, and application standards. This position requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and to safely navigate on ships while maintaining a heightened awareness of safety standards.
