Fitter Supervisor

Position Summary: The Fitter Supervisor is entrusted with the management and execution of various fitting projects specified by the General Foreman. This leadership position entails the efficient coordination and direction of skilled labor, ensuring that each project is completed with the utmost precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take charge of all fitting projects as assigned by the General Foreman.
• Plan and execute project workflows, setting clear labor and task assignments.
• Oversee the fitting team to ensure compliance with project specifications and shipyard standards.
• Act as a key point of coordination between project teams, the General Foreman, and other shipyard departments.
• Offer guidance, training, and support to fitting personnel, enhancing their capabilities and project contributions.
• Monitor project progress, promptly addressing any challenges or deviations from plans.
• Enforce strict safety regulations and foster a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

• Substantial experience in ship fitting or in a similar supervisory role, preferably in a shipyard or marine construction setting.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, coupled with effective communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of fitting processes, structural layouts, and blueprint interpretation.
• Robust problem-solving skills with a track record of conducting successful project coordination.
• Commitment to safety protocols and the well-being of crew members.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Active, on-site role in a shipyard environment, involving both indoor and outdoor project management.
• Must be capable of engaging in physical activities, such as bending, lifting, and climbing, as required by job duties.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and to comply with safety gear and protocols.

Reporting:

• Directly reports to the General Foreman or Yard Operations Supervisor.
