Pipe Welder 1st Class

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of construction and manufacturing processes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities.

Duties

• Perform MIG, FCAW, TIG, and Stick welding on various types of pipe materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
• Execute fire sprinkler fitting tasks and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and calipers for precise measurements and adjustments.
• Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging as required by project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and perform maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills

• Proficient in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, Stick welding, and soldering techniques.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Pipe Welder in a shipyard setting is required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, HVAC systems, pipeline construction, and assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Familiarity with basic math concepts for precise measurements.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and tube bending machinery.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to pipe welding.
