Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and maintenance, with the ability to read schematics and work with various tools and equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters for installation and repairs.
• Perform heavy lifting as necessary during installation or maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople for rigging and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with services rendered.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
• Assist in vehicle maintenance to ensure all service vehicles are operational and ready for use.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician in a shipyard setting is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring techniques, and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including assembly, welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience in customer service roles is highly desirable; strong communication skills are essential.
• Military experience is advantageous but not required; candidates with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
